BECAUSE WE ARE IN THE TROPICS I RECOMMEND TO ALL BRIDES TO USE TROPICAL FLOWERS. We are able to get a lot of the southern flowers, in season, such as roses, tulips, spring flowers, arum lillies. However sometimes it is a nightmare to get them up here, with the airlines sometimes offloading the flowers in Sydney or Brisbane and by the time we receive them they are not in very good condition. Also growers are not as fanatical as florists and it is nothing for the grower to substitute some other flower if he happens to be out of stock. What a drama! IF YOU ARE HAVING A TROPICAL WEDDING USE TROPICAL FLOWERS. Our most popular flowers are Orchids, Heliconias, Lillies and Anthuriums and they all love the tropics! Our three most popular types of flowers are listed below.
ORIENTAL LILY
Definitely our most popular flower for bouquets are the White Oriental lillies.
A very majestic flower, they always look perfect. I love it when we also use the lillies on the pews, there is something beautiful about walking down an aisle of beautiful white oriental lillies, carrying a magnificent oriental lily bouquet. Total Perfection!
DENDROBIUM ORCHIDS
Equally as popular are the white Dendrobium Orchids, these lovely tropical flowers always look fresh and can be made up into many beautiful different designs. The orchids are a very long lasting flower and always look great combined with other tropical flowers. We can also get them in a soft pink, or a purple and white.
TROPICAL FLOWERS
These flowers include Gingers, both red torch and porcelain pink, Heliconias, and Anthuriums of which we use a lot of green ones for weddings.
