Expertise

To carry fresh flowers on your wedding day is a wonderful experience.  To have your flowers remain perfect and fresh looking for the whole day requires Florists who know exactly what to do.  It is not a matter of sticking some flowers into a bouquet holder and hope for the best.  The flowers have to properly prepared before they get to this point.  Our bouquets, even the fully wired ones will remain fresh looking all day long. (Last week I even saw a Bride with one of our trailing lily and orchid bouquets, carrying a baby who was kicking the bouquet around for a whole two hours....horror!...horror!  and even though the bouquet lost one of the lillies, literally kicked to death,  the magnificent bouquet still looked perfect for the whole day!)

PREPARATION

When your flowers arrive from the grower we start our preparation, we want you to carry perfect flowers and to do that there are many steps we have to go through.  The flowers usually only arrive a couple of days before your wedding and they are constantly monitored right up until the time we are ready to begin working with them.  We always make up your flowers on the day of your wedding, yes if it is an early morning one it is nothing for us to start work at 2 AM.  Before we can start to put the bouquets together there are still a lot of preparation steps to go.  (And no I'm not going to divulge our secrets, THAT'S WHAT SETS US APART FROM ALL OTHER FLORISTS!)  95 % of our bouquets are fully wired, and there are many hours of work going into that method.

THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE VARIOUS TYPES OF BOUQUETS

I  want to explain the difference between some of the bouquets. There are three different types of bouquets that we make up.

1/. A bouquet made using natural stems.  These are lovely, but quite often the stems seem to get in the way and spoil a lot of the photographs, particularly if your photographer doesn't understand flowers and bouquets, I've seen some pretty ghastly photos over the years.

2/. A bouquet made using a plastic bouquet holder, these are very popular with a lot of the resort weddings,  as it is much easier to include them in their packages.  If you don't wish to have one of these bouquets, the resorts we work with will always allow you to pay the difference and upgrade to a wired bouquet.  For these bouquets we charge a fixed price of $145-00.   The plastic bouquet holders are lovely (when made by us!)  but you have to use greenery to hide the plastic and oasis and once again if they are held the wrong way a lot of your photos will come out showing plastic!

3/. The “Rolls Royce”  of all bouquets is the fully wired bouquet,  THERE IS SOMETHING MAGICAL ABOUT A FULLY WIRED BOUQUET, they look ever so dainty, it doesn't matter which way you hold them, they always come out perfectly in your photos, they are a lot lighter than any other bouquet, you don't have to use greenery at all, so the emphasis is always on the flowers and they are just exquisite. NOT MANY FLORISTS CAN MAKE UP A FULLY WIRED BOUQUET, it is like a lot of other things, a dying art, so those florists who can't make them up will tell you they are no good, but most of our work is done using the fully wired bouquets and they are magnificent AND GUESS WHAT because we have been properly trained in this very special method, our beautiful bouquets remain fresh all day long.

PS. A word of warning about having an arm bouquet for your wedding, most of the Brides who have had one complain of the restricted way they have to be held, and how tired their arm gets, they usually are pretty heavy as well, because of the size.
